REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in frontend frameworks and JavaScript libraries (e.g. AngularJS, Backbone, Bootstrap, Node.js)
  • A solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, asset loading, caching, RESTful)
  • Extensive knowledge of web standards, modern browsers, and responsive design

These positions are located in our Silicon Valley office in Mountain View, California.

POSITION DUTIES

Design and implement enhancements and modification for the Noosh web applications using legacy code and schema. Use EJB, J2EE and JavaScript to enhance the functionality of the existing platform. Work on multiple projects in parallel and tap into new opportunities and expand our reach on the web. Additional duties include: providing and meeting time estimates for assigned deliverables and fixing all bugs reported by clients using EJB, J2EE, JavaScript and Eclipse. Generating monthly and weekly reports to our customers using Noosh Report Writer and SQL Scripts. Performing weekly and monthly production rollout using Perl Scripts and participating in new feature development using Java, Sprint, myBatis and Velocity. Participating in daily Scrum meetings and monthly Sprint development using PivotalTracker. Writing Junit test cases using Java and JUnit and writing technical documentation using Confluence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Computer science or a closely-related field of concentration plus 24 months in job offered or Lead Software Engineer– related occupation
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Experience with relational databases including MySQL, and Oracle

We are looking for a System Admin/Data Center Manager to join our team in the Silicon Valley.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the day to day operations of our production systems, serving over 15,000 users and over 5,000 companies.
  • Enable cross functional development between multiple internal teams and provide a high level of service and support on our development and high-volume production systems.
  • Design, install, architect, configure, monitor and optimize the hybrid cloud environments, including AWS and co-lo data center.
  • Establish strategies to identify and improve information security implementations as it relates to the network, systems, devices, and access for regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying processes that need to be automated and to develop tools to build, maintain, and monitor systems to improve the stability and performance of our platform.
  • Establish Documentation to a level by which processes are reproducible by others.
  • Implement and use the latest data-center tools and processes.
  • Part of the on-call support for our production system.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related credentials in IT infrastructure services or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Demonstrated technical capabilities are a must, as are people skills. This position requires an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A working knowledge of managing AWS, including EC2, S3, VPC, etc.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RedHat) fundamentals, including networking, file systems, security, ssh, and the kernel itself.
  • A strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including both hardware and host-based routing, DNS management, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Expert knowledge of troubleshooting tools (i.e tcpdump, netstat, iostat, traceroute, strace).
  • Experience implementing SSL Certificates, including SANS certificates in an Apache stack.
  • Server virtualization and management work experience, using VMware, KVM, Xen or similar venues.
  • Monitoring tools experience, such as BMC or Nagios, from networking, server and metrics reporting perspectives.
  • Excellent skills in scripting and automation in python, ruby and/or BASH/TCSH shell.
  • Experience managing NFS storage services, preferably with a background using NetApp Filers.
  • Experience supporting Oracle, MySQL, or other databases from an administrative point of view.
  • Experience being on-call in a 24x7 production environment, supporting customers worldwide.
  • US work authorization required.

Noosh is looking to add a motivated customer focused individual to our small, dedicated Customer Support/Success team in Mountain View. This position provides support to our customers and their vendors; on using our product, best practices, bug tracking and escalation to QA, and working with our professional services department to provide an ideal customer experience. We’re also in the process of refocusing our department to not only be a reactive support team but also work to be more proactive. With this new refocus there’s a strong potential for growth in this department and throughout the company.

  • Answer questions about our application while providing high quality and proactive support to our customers.
  • Own the customer experience and work to exceed customers’ expectations, while empowering them to become better users.
  • Work in close partnership with QA, professional services, and engineering.
  • Proactively provide feedback to internal teams that helps to improve Noosh and create a better customer experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3+ years of customer support or relevant professional experience
